Biographical Note
He was
born
in Athens, Greece in 1945.
He
studied
Law in Athens (1963-1968), Political Sciences in Paris (1968-1970) and
Photography in the USA (1983).
He worked
as a lawyer in Athens for twelve years (1971-1983).
He has
been teaching
Photography since 1981 in various venues.
He has
organised
the model departments of Photography of the "Laiki Epimorphosi" (Ministry of
Education - Adult Educational Programmmes) and taught its instructors.
He has
edited
a series of programmes on Photography shown on Greek National Television;
he also edited many photographic books and curated many exhibitions.
He has
delivered
numerous
seminars and lectures on photography in Athens, Cyprus and elsewhere.
He has
exhibited
his work in
both solo and group exhibitions.
His
articles
have been published in numerous Greek newspapers and magazines.
He is the
Director
of the
"Photohoros" publications.
He
founded
in 1988 the "Photography Circle" society, of which he is the President.
He is the
author
of several
books.

From
1981 until 1988 seven introductory seminars on Creative Photography at the
Studio Quark in Athens.
2)

1988 until 2002 twenty-eight introductory seminars on Creative Photography
at the "Photography Circle" in Athens.
3)
From
2003 until 2004 two introductory seminars (seven month duration) on Creative
Photography at the "Benaki Museum" in Athens.
4)
From
1981 until 1985 the course on Photography (elementary and advanced) at the
"University of LaVerne" in Kifissia.
5)
From 1992 until 1995 the course on Photography at the "Panteios" Greek
University (Mass Media Department).

Athens.

(a society for former drug addicts).

In 1986 he organised the Photography Department for the Training Centre of
the "Athens Children's Hospital".

In 1992 he delivered a seminar on Creative Photography to architects
(sponsored by the European Union).

In 1998 he instructed a Photography seminar for "Christie's" educational
courses in Athens.

In 1995 he delivered a series of lectures on Photography in the "French
Institute of Salonica".

From 1985 until 2004 he has delivered more than twenty-five lectures on
Photography on various occasions and at various venues in Greece.

From 2002-2004 he has delivered in Syros thirty-four seminars focusing on
the work of major film directos.

Art of Photography")
and four programmes for the Greek Educational Television (entitled "About
Photography").
He has taken
part in several round table discussions on Photography (Goulandris Museum of
Contemporary Art in Andros - French Institute of Athens - National Bank of
Greece
etc.).
He is a
regular columnist and a Photography critic for the major greek newspaper
TA NEA, as well as for the magazine Photographos, a weekly
supplement of the Greek newspaper Kathimerini. Several of his
articles have been published in reviews such as, Eidolo, Photopolitismos,
Aerostato, Minima, Photohoros, Arttime etc.
