Photohoros

The name "Photohoros" defines all the activities of the "Photography Circle" concerning its publications and seminars.

The name "Photohoros (Photospace)" originated in 1984, when Platon Rivellis started a photographic retail business in the premises at which the "Circle" is now based.  As well as the business, a photography gallery operated with the same name. The first two years of "Photography Circle" (1988-1990), the society coexisted with "Photohoros", the business. From 1990, when the business closed down, the name "Photohoros" became synonymous with "Photography Circle".

The success of the name "Photohoros" and the reputation of the former shop made many shop owners and photographers all over Greece to adopt it as the name of their firm or their studio.
